This week we have drawn the Gratitude card. We have SO MUCH to be grateful for compared to so many people in the world, yet I wonder if we are all that much more happy. A friend was here today telling me about a trip he made to a very poor part of a very poor African country. What do the children beg for there? WATER. Not candy or toys or coins….WATER…bottles of water. And yet, on the happiness meter, they are about the same as we are! They are isolated so don’t know what they DON’T have. We have everything and yet don’t spend an appropriate amount of time realizing and being thankful – grateful for that.
So this week, take note of the wonderful things you have in your life…and say so to yourself. You will feel so good every time you do it that it just might become a habit.
I didn’t make this post yesterday because we were being GRATEFUL for all the men and women who have put themselves in harms way so we can be safe and sound here in our homeland. Need I say more!
I am grateful for all that read my words here! Thank you!
