This week we have drawn the Healing Hands card. This is special for me for several reasons, but most importantly it gives me an opportunity to tell you about an online meditation that was sent to me today, available to anyone and everyone. It a simple guided meditation that lasts 11 minutes and feels just wonderful. We are in such stressful times and this card indicates we should ponder healing something or someone or something in ourselves. In ourselves, that can be anger, jealousy, fear, hurt or resentment. Those negative emotions can translate into pain in your body if you allow them to fester inside of you. So this week if you feel a negative emotion, hold your hands over your heart and ask to release that feeling from your body. It doesn’t mean that you even have to share that with anyone, even the other person involved if there is one. It is just about you and feeling as good as you can as much as you can. It is the best way for all of us to deal with the added stress of these times.
Here is the link to the meditation. If you can find the time to do this, you will truly feel better for it!
I hope you all have a wonderful and healing week!
This week I have a special video message for you…about Thanksgiving and Gratitude! Also I am so excited to be so close to launching my updated web site! I have several new products to show you and we will be moving the blog to the web site too! In any case, I hope you enjoy this weeks message and are doing well. My thoughts are with all our friends on the East coast that continue to suffer and have another storm coming their way this week. We can share our good feelings with them by being in a state of gratitude because lifting our own energy up helps raise the energy of the whole planet.
May we all stay well.
This week we have drawn the Sea Otter card. This is a perfect reminder for all of us to keep our hearts as light as we can during times that seem so serious. The political season is so “angry” this year. Why is that? Has it always been so? I think it feels like we are deciding about our very survival this year. This of course is not so, but it feels that way. I reposted an image last week or so on facebook of a bluebird, with the comments that wouldn’t it be wonderful if the left wing and the right wing worked together to lift those in the middle!!!!!
I have some wonderful news too to share with you. I am going to relaunch my Voice of the Soul web site in the next week or so and will be showing many new products to help you uplift your relationship with your higher self. Also I will be moving this blog to that new address as they tell me it helps draw traffic to the web site itself. I will keep you posted!
I also want to share a little story with you. Yesterday I was ironing many of my shirts that have been waiting a long time for me to iron them. There were 20 shirts and there are another 20 still waiting! As I was ironing, I thought about what the day would be like when I wore each shirt. I was putting energy into making sure the wrinkles were gone, then thought I should also put energy into the shirt that would make me extra happy, helpful, and healthy the day I wore it at some point in the future. Just had to share!
Have a great week everyone, and soon all the political anger will be gone from our lives for a while any way. Meanwhile try a little laughter about the ‘dog and pony show’ we are watching and ask every time “Was that the dog or the pony speaking just now?” Also we are all hoping that the East Coast survives this terrible storm with no damage or loss of life. Let it be so!
Hello loyal friends! This week we have drawn the Dog card, which has a lot to do with loyalty!
The meaning of this card is “Selfless Love and Devotion”. So who in your life deserves that from you. Most certainly your family does, and good lifelong friends do too…and of course your mate! What we learn from dogs is that dogs don’t judge. They don’t put any conditions on their devotion to you. That is what we can learn from them…loving without conditions. Dogs just do it naturally but it is something most of us need to LEARN to do.
That doesn’t mean you stay in any kind of relationship that is abusive to you. But you can love them AND yourself enough to walk away. It is important that you not undervalue your devotion to someone or a particular organization. It is like a gift you wrap in the most beautiful paper and present with glowing love. If they don’t get it, then find someone who DOES! Let your higher voice guide you this week as you ponder your loyalties and ask to be shown who appreciates you and who really doesn’t.
When you sort out who is truly important to you, be sure to tell them so…this week…before you forget to do so!
This week we have drawn the Loving Heart card. My heart is open today because we hosted our family reunion yesterday and I LOVE all my cousins and my brother and his family. The woman on this card reminds me of all my aunts when they would see any of us kids at the family reunions during our childhoods. We felt loved unconditionally. We felt the joy they expressed at just the sight of us! We were lucky in that regard and took it for granted.
The actual meaning of this card is “Forgiveness” so this week, try to open your heart and forgive someone, even yourself. Imagine the comfort you could provide yourself or someone else by doing that. Hate is cold, constricting and painful to the person that is feeling it more than to the person it is directed at. So do YOURSELF a favor and think of someone to forgive and just do it. You don’t even have to tell them if you don’t want to because you are the one who will benefit the most!
Then give yourself…or someone you love…a warm and loving hug! It is so easy and doesn’t cost a dime!
This week we have drawn the Horse Card! The message of this card is one of the most important things we can get comfortable about with ourselves. Where are we in our progress of this or that? It is really important to remember that everything and everyone of us unfolds at it’s own pace. Moving to fast may cause failure. Moving too slow may end up causing a decline of potential success.
So it is important to not judge ourselves or others about where we are with certain things. Today is my 66th birthday and I start to draw Social Security today. Am I anywhere close to where I imagined myself to be at this point it my life? I guess it depends on when you would have asked me. When I was 18? When I graduated from College? When I had a high paying corporate job? Before the recession? When I could barely pass English in High School because I couldn’t spell? Only in recent years have I fancied myself as some kind of writer…so that is good, an improvement of the high school image I had of myself for so very many years.
We are comfortable in our home that we didn’t loose in the recession. That is very good. I have wonderful friends, a great husband, and wonderful doggies. That is all VERY good. Do I wish I had more money in the bank. Most certainly, but I don’t lack for anything so what difference does that make. It’s just a number on paper.
I just can’t measure my life by what I have and don’t have, have done and haven’t done. I measure it by how I feel about myself, my life, and my friends and family. And on that score I give myself an A+.
So thank you horse symbol for reminding me to take time today to “measure” where I am. If you do the same, I bet you ALL would get an A+ today!
This week we have drawn the Squirrel card. This is signaling us to think about putting things away for a rainy day. Life has it’s ebbs and flows, and if we plan ahead, we can comfortably weather the times when we are a bit short of resources. What is really important about this is that you come from a place of KNOWING that there is enough for everyone…enough to go around…for you and for everyone. You are not hiding resources from someone else, you are just making sure of your own comfort.
Several years ago we both read “Who Moved My Cheese?” by Spencer Johnson and Kenneth Blanchard and to this day we refer to it. Just a little book but so full of wisdom that has especially helped us through the last few years of our cheese really being moved around! It is a simple story about how two mice deal with changes in their lives…how they adapt or don’t. I guess it is small animal week! I highly recommend reading it.
In any case, when you think about buying something this week that you don’t really need, think twice about it before you decide. Does the joy it will bring you outweigh the stress if you find yourself overextended.
Do have a great week and enjoy yourself above all!
